Design
Conceptual or preliminary to detail design. Depending on the complexity of the project this can involve a large team of consultants. I can provide this team or work with yours. Many facilities or projects do not require this degree of expertise and a quick scope of work will establish this. Preliminary design and cost estimates are probably the most important part of the project saving time and money.
Cost Estimates
Preliminary estimates to help establish scope and budget. Once drawings are approved a construction estimate can be provided before going to tender. This is essential if time is a consideration as much time can be wasted on tendering a project if the funds aren't there. Cost estimates can be given for budget purposes for allocation of maintenance funds.
Drawings & Specifications
Drawings and specifications for the complete project be it grass roots or maintenance. This is an important part of the tendering and permit process. Without these tender prices mean little and permits will not be given.
Professional Seal
I can provide the professional seal that many municipalities require.
Inspections
There are many inspection services I can provide. Site, construction and risk assessment all are important:
Site (existing) inspections are usually to establish upgrading and non-compliance. This is especially useful to prepare maintenance budgets particularly for multiple facility clients who can then prioritize projects.
Construction inspections are to ensure that the facility is built as per the specifications and drawings. BC Building Code Letters of Assurance can be provided.
Risk Assessment inspections can be done in conjunction with site inspections, this will establish what risk there is due to a product spill or fire.
Project Management
This can be assistance for the client in his interactions with the contractor and/or supplier. From providing a list of competent contractors to tendering and managing the contract or portions as requested.
In certain situations where the client has skilled tradesmen only lacking petroleum experience, I can provide the supervision and training to allow them to do some or all of the work.
