Avation Refuelling

Two concepts must be kept in mind with aviation refuelling systems:

  • Clean, dry fuel must be supplied as aircraft can not be pulled over to the road side in the event of fuel contamination. A plane crashing is the worst and early, high maintenance costs are the least result of wet, dirty fuel.
  •  Safe handling of the fuel is essential! To get clean, dry fuel most use filtration which by it's very nature will lend a static charge to the product. This static charge if not allowed to dissipate may cause the fuel to explode. I have seen filter elements blown apart, I have seen fires caused by the simple act of draining fuel into a pail!

A properly designed system is both safe and efficient at producing clean, dry fuel.
